Nevada School Team Discount FAQ
What is the NEW Nevada Schools Local Discount?
This is a Nevada-only local discount for Nevada high school dance team, pom, hip hop & drill team programs that want to participate in Dance Team World Nationals in Las Vegas with a smaller registration fee plan and routine-based budgeting.
1) This offer is available to Nevada school dance team programs only!
2) Must be registered online by February 20, 2026 to be scheduled.
3) Entry Fees must be paid in full by March 6, 2026 to maintain Nevada discount.
Is this an NIAA-sanctioned spirit event?
Dance Team World recently submitted the NIAA sanctioning application for our National Championship event in Las Vegas, and approval is now PENDING.
If your school requires NIAA sanctioning to attend, you may wait to register until approval is confirmed. Or you can REGISTER NOW, and we will email your team coach/director immediately once it is approved.
If NIAA approval is not granted, Nevada school teams may cancel their registration and request a full refund.
What routines does the Nevada local discount apply to?
Your program may enter up to 3 group dance routines total under this Nevada local discount, regardless of dance style or size (i.e. Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Pom, etc).
You may register multiple group routines of the same size in different genres, OR a variety of different size group routines. A “routine” can be any of the following size divisions:

🏅 Medium Group
🏅 Large Group
What is the discount pricing for Nevada school group routines?
$250 per group routine
Please note there is also an additional $10 per dancer participation fee which is only collected once regardless of how many routines you register (Limit of up to 3 group routines per school under this Nevada high school team discount)
What does the $10 per dancer participation fee cover?
It helps cover event operations tied to each dancer, including check-in/wristbands, event staffing, and production support.
This fee is paid once per dancer, regardless of how many routines they perform.
How do we register using this discount?
We use DanceComp Genie for online registration, judging, and delivery of scoresheets and judges critiques.
STEP 1: Register your program HERE and add your dancer roster.
STEP 2: Add your group routine entry or entries (up to 3).
STEP 3: If you are adding solos and/or duet-trios, enter those as well.
STEP 4: Once submitted, we will apply the Nevada Schools Local Discount and any applicable solo/duet-trio add-ons to your invoice total.
If you want a quick estimate before you submit payment, email us your dancer count and the number/type of entries you plan to enter and we will confirm it.
Can our program also enter solos and duet-trios too?
Yes. Nevada schools that register at least one group routine may add solos and duet-trios at the following local discount add-on rates:
$75 per solo
$100 per duet-trio
These add-on rates are only available for Nevada schools that have at least one group routine entered under the Nevada local discount. We will modify your invoice to reflect any solo and/or duet-trio add-ons.
What if we ONLY want to bring solos or duet-trios and NO group routine?
In that case, you would register under our standard pricing (NO Nevada local discount will be applied). But if you have a unique situation, email us and we will help you figure out the best fit.
What is the schedule for Nationals weekend?
FRIDAY (3/20)
Welcome, master class workshops, and optional rehearsals
SATURDAY (3/21)
Competition day and awards for solos, duet/trios, and small group dances + Master class workshop opportunity
SUNDAY (3/22)
Competition day + awards for medium/large group dances, high school title solo finals, and Main Event closing show.
Can dancers or parents register the team?
Dancers and parents are welcome to share this info, but team registration should be completed by the coach/director or an official program representative.
Is Dance Team World Nationals a nonprofit event?
Yes. Dance Team World Nationals is produced by a 100% nonprofit organization, which is why we’re able to put revenue back into the experience and help keep fees as low as possible for both local and traveling dance team programs!
