NATIONAL TITLE SOLO CHAMPIONSHIP

The most elite solo competition experience for dance team athletes — where the best of the best showcase their talent, gain national exposure, and build camaraderie with other dancers.

Dance Team World Education Foundation hosts a formal awards banquet & presents monetary scholarships for dancers in our title solo championship categories:

HERE’S WHAT’S WAITING FOR YOU IN LAS VEGAS!

Team Travel planning assistance to/from Las Vegas! We can also help you book entertainment, Las Vegas show tickets, and other activities to Build Your Own Nationals experience!
Team charter bus/shuttle transfer between Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and our host hotel
Two performance spaces! Performing arts theater PLUS an Arena with seating for 6,000+ (For this first year, if we do not meet our team registration goal we will swap the Arena for a Grand Ballroom). All performances will still take place on Marley flooring.
All performances on a Marley dance floor (dimensions posted soon)
Digital scoresheets and video critiques for all routines
Routines scored by a panel of FIVE highly-qualified & experienced adjudicators from different regions of the country
Team routines perform in alternating panels to give our judges plenty of time after each performance to provide non-rushed scores and helpful critiques, not just “reaction videos”.
Opportunity to customize your experience with practice ballrooms, private team dressing rooms, and more. Please contact us if you’d like us to contract ballrooms for rehearsal.
Backstage practice zones with scheduled warm-up & performance check-in times
Each dancer registration includes participation in up to 5-routines maximum (Dancers may compete in more routines for an additional registration fee per dancer, per routine). We DO NOT charge routine entry fees.
Event T-Shirt in your custom team colors for each registered participant & coach/director!
Scholarship awards banquet for National Title Solo Championship participants.
Dedicated coach/director lounge with elevated view of all the action, PLUS some added surprises that we’re keeping secret for now (i.e. spa treatments & wellness/self-care packages)

THURSDAY (3/19)

  • HOTEL ROOM BLOCK INFORMATION
    • Our hotel room block discount begins Wednesday 3/19 for dance programs that wish to arrive early. A variety of King and Double Queen room types are available.
  • EARLY TEAM CHECK-IN (OPTIONAL)
    • Our coach/director check-in begins Thursday 3/19 for competing Dance Teams, as well as those participating in our Beyond Limits abilities dance program.

FRIDAY (3/20)

  • TITLE SOLO WELCOME EVENTS
    • In late afternoon/early evening, students who qualified to represent their state at their state-sanctioned regional solo championship participate in welcome activities, opening number routine rehearsal, and dance workshop. We are currently in planning these activities in partnership with the Las Vegas Raiderettes (subject to change)
  • OPEN STAGE WARM-UP (FOR SOLOS & TEAMS)
    • Teams with dancers participating in solo and duet/trio categories will be given time blocks on Marley stage in the Orleans Hotel Showroom theater to get a feel for the floor.
  • MASTER CLASS WORKSHOPS
    • Open to all visiting teams, and included with registration fee. There is no additional cost for workshops in the Showroom Theater (limited capacity, first-come, first served). Instructors to be announced!
  • BEYOND LIMITS: CHANCE TO DANCE
    • An inclusive opportunity for youth with disabilities and other learning challenges to participate in dance workshops that stimulate their excitement & creativity. Allows participants and their families to feel just as celebrated as all the dance programs in attendance. Participants can enjoy the workshops and optionally perform in our Saturday awards presentation. Additional perks for these kiddos are still in the works… Stay tuned!

    • High school dancers competing in the Miss Dance Team, Mr. Dance Team, or Teen Title Solo categories will attend a show together in Las Vegas in the evening.

    • Open to all visiting teams, and included with registration fee. There is no additional cost for workshops in the Showroom Theater (limited capacity, first-come, first served). Instructors to be announced!

SUNDAY (3/22)

  • MEDIUM & LARGE GROUP ROUTINES

  • THE MAIN EVENT / CLOSING SHOW
    • More details about this exciting culminating event will be posted soon. Each team in attendance submits their strongest routine into our Grand National Championship closing show. There are so many exciting surprises to keep your dancers pushing until the very end of their National Championship experience in Las Vegas!
  • AWARDS CEREMONIES
    • Varsity teams from each division line up together on the performance stage as we announce results. There will be a separate awards announcement for each Varsity team division. There will also be separate awards ceremonies for National Title Solo Championship divisions throughout the day (i.e. Miss Dance Team, Mr. Dance Team, Teen Title Solo)
  • NATIONALS END TIME
    • We are aiming to conclude events no later than 5pm so that teams can catch flights or buses home OR remain in Las Vegas to enjoy team dinner and/or show opportunities together following awards.
